Coffee Facts Friday

“Remember, remember the Fifth of November is gunpowder treason and plot?”

In 1605 Guy Fawkes conspired to blow up the House of Parliament. From that day onward, Brits celebrate the capture of Guy Fawkes with firework displays and bonfires.
A brewing question:  Guy Fawkes, villain or hero?  That’s a question percolating in coffeehouses throughout Great Briton.  Isn’t coffee a great discussion starter?

If burning Guy Fawkes in effigy is not your cup of tea, how about baking a Guy Fawkes cake?

Thanks for the Guy Fawkes posting. It reminded me of a Guy Fawkes burning I went to in Costa Rica. I didn’t know until now that this is an anti-Catholic event, I hope the Pope doesn’t find out!
